Crews at the Buckhorn School are still finishing up repairs and upgrades from the 2022 flood so school has been delayed about 10 days.
Perry County Schools announce Wednesday that classes will begin August 26 after consulting with the project construction managers, architects and engineers.
Officials tell WYMT that even by then they will only have temporary windows and doors installed.
They still need to put in new permanent ones that are flood-proof, which is required for the project funded by FEMA.
