Buckhorn residents can see the light at the end of the tunnel on the multi-year multi-million dollar construction of a new water system.
WYMT reports on Wednesday local and state leaders stood at Hazard City Hall to announce a $10 million grant from the Economic Development Administration to finish the project which includes a new water treatment plant and new transmission lines.
US Representative Hal Rogers was on hand for the news and called it a “heart-throbbing moment” for the community.
