The Buckhorn City Council has reportedly voted to remove the mayor from office. At a
meeting last night, the four members of the Council voted to remove Mayor Paul Robert
Turner from the position he had been in for just a year since January 2023. The
Buckhorn City Attorney told WYMT there are some financial irregularities with Turner
allegedly making thousands of dollars in purchases without Council authorization. The
City has 30 days to appoint a new mayor or the governor’s office will appoint one.
