Bad Brake Lights Lead to Drug Arrest

Drug trafficking charges have been levied against a Floyd County man who was pulled over for having bad brake lights. A Floyd County deputy reportedly stopped a pickup driven by Terry Qualls of Martin because there was duct tape over his brake lights. Mountain Top News reports the deputy recognized Qualls as the subject of several tips they’d gotten alleging Qualls was dealing drugs. The deputy deployed the department’s K-9 Zoe and the dog alerted on a bag full of meth inside the engine compartment.
