Arlie Boggs and Letcher Win Opening Round Games in Letcher County A Team Basketball Tournament

The LCEAA Letcher County Boys A Team Tournament is being played this week.  The opening rounds games and were played last night at Jenkins Middle High School.  

In game one, it was 4 seed Letcher over 5 seed Fleming Neon 35-24.

Letcher was led by Kaden Eldridge with 10, Braylon Slone had 9, 8 for Levi Hensley, 5 for Conner Collins and 3 for Gunner Stewart.

Fleming Neon was led by Colton Mullins with 11, Evan Adams with 5, 4 for Conner Stewart, 2 for Jon Chaffins and 2 for Anthony Hall.  

In game two, it was 3 seed Arlie Boggs over 6 seed Jenkins 47-43

For Arlie Boggs, Gavin Adams led the way with 17, Colton Holbrook added. 10, Brayden McCowan had 8, Braxton Hubbard also had 8 and Chance Adams put in 4.  

Jenkins was led by Ayden Lester with 24 including 4-3’s, Tristan Campbell put in 11, 6 for Conner Hall and 2 for Braxton Lester.  

Letcher will advance to play 1 seed Whitesburg at 6:00pm Thursday and Arlie Boggs will advance to face 2 seed Cowan at 7:30pm Thursday in the A team county tournament semifinals at Jenkins Middle High School.  

The consolation game is at 2:00pm followed by the A Team County championship game at 3:30pm Sunday at Letcher County Central High School.
