Appalachian Regional Healthcare is once again teaming up with Eastern Kentucky non-profit Kenny’s Kids to help families that cannot afford to do a lot for Christmas for their families.
Kenny’s Kids was started by Kenny Champion who was a child support investigator for the state and saw firsthand how families struggled at the holidays.
Kenny’s son Greg Champion works for ARH and is also on the board of the Knott County Youth Foundation.
He tells the Hazard Herald the goal is to help as many families and kids as they can, not just with toys but also shoes, winter boots, and more.
