A Letcher County Woman Accused of Kidnapping an Estill County Woman After Home Break In

A woman from Letcher County is accused of kidnapping a woman in Estill County after a home break-in. KSP and the Letcher County Sheriff’s office say 41-year-old Tonya Mullins of Whitesburg broke into a home in Irvine, assaulted the homeowner, and forced her to drive to a motel in Letcher County on December 30th. The victim reportedly suffered a broken back, but she escaped and managed to make it back home. The Mountain Eagle reports police picked up Mullins on Friday. She is facing a long list of felony charges that include kidnapping, attempted murder, theft, and endangerment. She is in Letcher County jail on a $150,000 bond. A man found with Mullins was also arrested. Police identify him as 40-year-old Randy Walling of Letcher County. He was wanted on warrants but was not charged in the kidnapping case. He is being held on $1,000 bond.
