The Letcher County Central Cougars baseball team took the Thursday night game in dramatic fashion, with a 9-8 walk-off victory over Leslie County in 12 innings.
The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the twelfth when Riley Wright singled, scoring one run.
Mason Boggs collected three hits in five at bats in the win.
The 15-15 LCC Cougars will next play tonight against Breathitt County in Jackson with game time at 6:00pm.
The Cougars will then play 2 games Saturday in the Floyd Central/Jackson County/Letcher County Central Triangle at Floyd Central.
They will play Jackson County at 1:30pm and Floyd Central at 4:00pm.
The Jenkins Cavaliers baseball team lost to Mountain Mission out of Grundy VA at home last night 8-7 in a close one.
The 11-15 Cavaliers will play Twin Valley VA at home this evening, Friday, at 5:00pm and then take on Red Bird at home in a doubleheader on Saturday with the first game at 12:00 noon.
