Kenneth Bates, age 75, of Colson, passed away Tuesday, May 5th,2026 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife: Madonna Bates of Colson; Two daughters: Stephanie Bates Cornett of Isom and Kristi Bates of Colson; Two sisters: Annette Isaac and Lena Parsons both of Colson and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm this evening, Friday, at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesburg.
Funeral services for Kenneth Bates will he held at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel.

Burns “Duke” Mullins
Burns “Duke” Mullins, age 78, of Whitesburg, passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife : Kathy Mullins of Whitesburg; 1 daughter: Georgia Benton of Salvisa, KY; 1 son: William Duke Mullins Salvisa, KY; 2 Sisters: Nina Rose of Payne Gap and Nancy Horne of Baltimore, Maryland; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Burns “Duke” Mullins will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Everidge Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Slone and Frank Hall officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres at Ermine.

Richard Neal Yonts
Richard Neal Yonts, age 85, of McRoberts, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Whitesburg ARH.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Bentley Yonts of McRoberts; one step-son: Richard Kelly Jensen of Louisiana; one step daughter: Amanda Lucas of Thornton; two brothers: Terry “Rocky” Yonts of Jeremiah and James Dean Yonts of McRoberts; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00pm this evening, Friday, at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel.
Funeral services for Richard Neal Yonts will be held at 7:00pm this evening, Friday at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, Jenkins Chapel with Bill Craft officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Appalachian Citizen Law Center in Whitesburg.
