He is survived by his wife: Shirley Priscilla Potter Phillips; 2 sons: Kenneth Brandon Phillips of Eolia and Brooks Gabriel Phillips of China Grove, North Carolina; 1 brother: Hoyt Phillips of Blacksburg, Virginia; 1 sister: Ella Cromer of Blacksburg, Virginia and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Kenneth E. Phillips will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery at Eolia.

James Casey Watts, age 58, of Redstar, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
He is survived by 1 son: Brandon J. Watts of Redstar; 1 stepdaughter: Faith Back of Jeremiah and 1 sister: Patricia Lynn Adams of Isom.
Visitation will be after 12:00 noon today, Wednesday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

He is survived by his wife: Rose Baker Bentley; 3 children: Jerry Wayne Bentley of Louisville, Audra Bentley of Smyrna, Georgia and Kelly Holbrook of Gallatin, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
