Landen Roupp allowed one hit in six innings and Matt Chapman had an RBI double to spark a three-run rally in the seventh and help the San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds3-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Reds won the series but failed to sweep the Giants.
The Reds are now 11-8, still tied with the Pirates for first place in the NL Central.
The Reds will now embark on a 6 game 2 city road trip starting Friday.
They will play 3 this weekend at the Minnesota Twins.
Game times are 8:10pm Friday and 2:10pm both Saturday and Sunday.
