It was another night of the 53rd District Tournament Tuesday at Letcher County Central High School.
In the girls semifinals last night,
Game one went to Knott County Central as they won over Jenkins 94-21
Knott County Central 8th grader Ryleigh Feltner was our Papa John’s of Whitesburg Player of the Game.
In game two last night, the Letcher County Central Lady Cougars won over June Buchanan 71-24.
The game two Papa John’s of Whitesburg Player of the Game was Letcher County Central Senior Payge Damron.
So #1 seed Knott County Central will face #2 seed Letcher County Central for the girls 53rd District Championship on Thursday night at 7:00pm.
The Boys 53rd District semifinals wll be played tonight at LCC.
In game one Cordia will take on Knott County Central at 6:00pm.
In boys semifinal game two tonight around 8:00pm #2 seed Jenkins will battle #3 seed Letcher County Central for the third time this season. Jenkins won the first two games over LCC.
The boys two winners from tonight will meet for the boys 53rd District championship game Friday night at 7:00pm
All games will be played at Letcher County Central High School.
