Mary Ison
Mary Ison, age 82, of Cowan, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Kat Gross of Sandlick, Shirley Yawn of Sandlick and Sophia Ison of Cowan; 2 sons: David Ison and Joey Ison both of Cowan; adopted son: Darrell Atkins of Richmond; 4 grandchildren: 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Ison will be held at 1:00pm this afternoon, Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Lighthouse Community Church at Campbranch with Jimmy Dotson and Glen Gross officiating.
Burial will follow in the Yawn Cemetery at Sandlick.
The Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg is in charge of the arrangements.

Charlie Holbrook
Charlie Holbrook, age 92, of Deane, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Bluegrass Hospice Center in Hazard.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Kathy Hall of Deane and Anita Spicer of Fort Myers, Florida; 2 sons: Greg Holbrook and Ron Holbrook, both of Richmond, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Charlie Holbrook will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Dixon officiating.
Visitation will be after 6:00pm this evening, Monday, and after 6:00pm tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Ival Dove aka Lenie Lindsay
Ival Dove aka Lenie Lindsay, age 90, of Gordon, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Tri-Cities Nursing and Rehab Center.
She is survived by three children: Eloise Pennington of Cumberland; Lottie Lint of Gordon and Brian Hooker of Gordon; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Lindsay; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
