A Pike County man is facing DUI and other charges for a January crash in Floyd County
in which two people were hurt.
Prestonsburg Police say it happened January 26 on U.S. 23 in Prestonsburg when an officer responding to a crash claims she smelled a strong odor of pot from the driver now identified as Rex Reynolds of Pikeville.
The Appalachian News Express reports Reynolds was hurt but the EMT’s saw some bags of what turned out to be marijuana.
He was flown to a hospital and later charged with DUI, driving on a DUI-suspended license, wanton endangerment and more.
Court documents reportedly show Reynolds with prior DUI convictions in Floyd, Johnson and Pike counties.
