A judge has put restrictions on how much time a Prestonsburg man on house arrest in connection to a murder can spend at one of his businesses.
Michael McKinney is out on bond awaiting trial for eight counts of evidence tampering related to the murder of Amber Spradlin at his home.
He is accused of helping cover up the murder which prosecutors allege was committed by his son.
Under the rules of his confinement, he is allowed out for certain hours to work in his dental office but had also been spending time at a restaurant he co-owns, to which the Commonwealth’s Attorney took exception and asked the judge to consider.
Mountain Top News reports this week the judge said McKinney can go there for “legitimate business purposes” of no more than 30 minutes.
