In an offensive showcase, #8 Kentucky lost an exciting game to #4 Alabama 102-97 Saturday at Rupp Arena.
It’s the Cats first home loss of the season and Kentucky’s first loss to a ranked opponent.
The Cats are now 13-4 overall and 3-2 in the SEC.
Otega Oweh led the way for the ‘Cats with 21 points, six rebounds, and three assists before fouling out in the final minute.
Six other Kentucky players finished in double-figures. Lamont Butler went for 17 points and eight assists while Amari Williams added a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double. Jaxson Robinson and Brandon Garrison both chipped in 11 points with Koby Brea and Ansley Almonor put in 10 points each.
Kentucky doesn’t have a midweek game this week and will next play Vanderbilt in Nashville this Saturday. It’s a 2:00pm tipoff against the Commodores, who knocked off #6 Tennessee on Saturday.
