Belfry Traveling Nurse Pleads Guilty in Morphine Stealing Scheme

A Belfry woman who worked as a travel nurse has pleaded guilty to a scheme to steal morphine.

Jacqueline Brewster pleaded guilty to federal charges after prosecutors said while working at a hospital in West Virginia, she admitted to using patient information to access vials of morphine from an automated prescription dispensing machine and then siphoning off a portion from the vial for her own use and adding something else to the vial to top it off.

Mountain Top News reports she could face up to 14 years in prison
