A Perry County man is accused of endangering some officers while he tried to get away from them on a side-by-side.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy responded to a domestic dispute at Whitaker Hollow to help Hazard Police with the situation in which they claim 19-year-old Calvin Combs had nearly hit three officers while taking off from the scene on a Polaris RZR.
The Hazard Herald reports the deputy was able to find the side-by-side and tried to pull Combs over but he refused and when the deputy learned Combs was possibly armed he stopped chasing him and got a warrant for his arrest.
When he returned home later he was arrested for evading, wanton endangerment and
tampering with evidence.
Police are also investigating whether the RZR was stolen.
