Internet provider Kinetic is offering a reward if you can help police catch some thieves who have been stipping copper and fiber cable from utility poles in Harlan County.
The company tells WYMT when technicians responded to an outage on Wednesday, they
discovered the damaged poles and the missing metals and wires.
They say the outages not only affected businesses and residents but also the local 911 service.
Kinetic says it’s the third outage in this same area this year and they are offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the copper thieves.
