A Pikeville man is facing child endangerment charges for allegedly being drunk while he was supposed to be watching two kids in a public park.
Pikeville Police say they were called to City Park last Wednesday about a “possibly intoxicated man with two small children.”
When police found the man they say it was clear to them he was under the influence and when he told them he was planning to drive the kids home, the officers searched him and found a water bottle half full of rum.
He was arrested for public intoxication and endangering the welfare of a minor and taken to the detention center.
