A 14-year sentence has been handed down for a man who pleaded guilty to a 2022 shooting outside a store in Big Stone Gap. The Wise County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office says Shane Christopher Martin of Richmond was sentenced after pleading guilty to use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and aggravated malicious wounding for the incident that happened outside the Economy Drug Pharmacy in November 2022. Prosecutors say after the shooting Martin went over to his job at a restaurant and started working which is where police arrested him.
