Knott County Receives Grants To Help Restore Parks Affected By Flooding

Knott County has gotten $130,000 in grants from the Land and Conservation Fund to help restore some parks damaged in the July 2022 flood. WYMT reports the money will help with renovations to Ball Creek, Hindman, Jones Fork and Kite Parks with new basketball and tennis courts, playground equipment, grills and picnic tables. Fiscal Court Grant Writer Leah Fugate says the overall goal is more activities for families.
