Letcher County Central Boys Season Ends With Loss to Hazard in 14th Region Tournament

The boys 14th Region Tournament got underway last night at Powell County High School at Stanton.  

In game one, the Letcher County Central Cougars came up short and lost 56-39 to tournament favorite, the Hazard Bulldogs.

The LCC Cougar boys season comes to an end with a final record of 16-13.

In the second boys 14th region game last night Austin Sperry hit a 3 pointer with 2 seconds to go to give Breathitt County the 65-62 win over Estill County.

Tonight, the other two boys opening round games will be played.

At 6:00pm Knott County Central faces Wolfe County and around 8:00pm Perry County Central takes on Powell County.  

The boys 14th region semifinals will be Saturday afternoon at 1:00 when Hazard takes on Breathitt County with the second semifinal tipping off at 3:00pm Saturday.

The boys region championship game will be Monday at 7:00pm with all games all at Powell County.
