In the 53rd DIstrict, it was Letcher County Central over Cordia 66-22 and it was Knott County Central over Jenkins 62-27.
So, Thursday at 6:00pm Letcher County Central will take on Knott County Central in the girls 53rd District championship game.
In the girls 54 district tournament last night at Hyden, Hazard pulled the opening round upset as the Lady Bulldogs beat Leslie County 59-45. In the other 54th game Perry County Central beat Buckhorn 69-17.
Hazard will face Perry Central for the 54th District championship.
In the girls 55th District Breathitt County beat Jackson City 54-25, Breathitt now meets Wolfe County for the 55th District championship.
And in the girls 56th District last night, Owsley County over Lee County 81-45 and Estill County over Powell County 42-28.
So Letcher County Central, Knott County Central, Hazard, Perry County Central, Breathitt County, Wolfe County, Owsley County and Estill County will advance to the girls 14th Region Tournament beginning March 4 at Estill County.
