It’s down to just a handful of homes still without water in Perry County. City officials tell WYMT only a few homes in the higher elevations of the southern part of the county are still without water as crews continue to work on restoration. One Leatherwood resident, who got her water back after 11 days without it, says last year they lost water for 14 days in January and the year before that for 10 days. She says by knowing the January pattern she hopes officials will work on a prevention plan for next winter.
