He is survived by his parents: Joe and Margie Walters of Jenkins and 3
Sisters: Laura Goff, Gracie Maggard and Susannah Sizemore.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm this evening, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Main Street in Jenkins.
Funeral services for Robert Walters will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Main Street in Jenkins.

Florida Elam Holcomb, age 98, of Hallie, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Hazard ARH.
She is survived by 3 sons: Doug Holcomb of Hallie, Wesley “Wes”Holcomb and Levi Lundy Holcomb both of Maces Creek; 3 daughters: Lily Fay Coley of West Virginia, Wanda Bandell and Nancy Cornett both of Hallie along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Florida Elam Holcomb have been postponed pending weather.
Burial will follow in the Clint Ison Cemetery at Hallie.

Peggy “Patsy” Hampton Sturgill, age 84, of Eolia passed away Saturday January 13, 2024 from her sister’s home.
She is survived by 1 son: Steven W. Sturgill of Kingsport, TN; a granddaughter, Christina Sturgill of North Carolina; sister and best friend, Betty Sue Sturgill of Pound, VA and brother-in-law Charles Engle of Kingsport, TN.
Funeral services for Peggy “Patsy” Hampton Sturgill will be held at 6:00 pm this evening, Wednesday January 17, 2024 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Carter officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm this afternoon until time of services at 6:00pm this evening.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Thursday January 18, 2024 at the Bolling Cemetery in the Flat Gap section of Pound, VA.
