Pikeville First Responders have presented more than $10,000 to the Pike County School District and the Pikeville Independent School District for the schools to buy supplies. The groups which include Pikeville Police, Pikeville Fire, and Pikeville 911 Dispatch gave out $500 Walmart Gift Cards to each of the 21 schools’ Family Resource Counselors to purchase school supplies and other items students may need throughout the school year. The money came from fundraising and community outreach donations.
